Brendan Allatta began his musical studies on piano and saxophone at the age of eight, while attending school in his hometown of Chester, NJ. In the fifth grade, he switched to trombone, eventually moving to bass trombone in middle school. In high school, he played with the NJ Region 1 Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble, as well as the NJ All State Symphonic Band. He attended the Juilliard Pre-College Division from 2013-2015, performing with the brass quintet, orchestra, and brass ensemble. He was the Bass Trombonist with the New Jersey Youth Symphony for five seasons, and in the summer of 2013 he attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artists’ Wind Ensemble. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Bass Trombone performance at Montclair State University, studying with Jennifer Wharton.
