George Colwell

Our longest tenured member, George Colwell , has been with Imperial Brass since 1992. During his long tenure with the band, George has gotten to share the stage with some amazing musicians, including Derek Smith, Philip Smith, David Nesbitt-Rex, Joseph Alessi, Chris Jaudes, and Derek Fenstermacher, as well as legendary NJ tubist, Don Butterfield. In addition to playing with Imperial Brass, George has been a music teacher in NJ public schools since 1991. George likes to spend his free time with his wife, Karen, and their dog, Toby.
