Julie Zedeck is so honored and excited to be playing with Imperial Brass.
Julie began her musical studies on piano at age 8 and trombone at age 9. Julie has always been very fascinated with musical instruments, teaching herself the trumpet and euphonium not too long after.
Julie is a proud graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she studied trombone with Noreen Baer and received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. During the summers while studying at Rutgers, Julie won a chair in the College Light Opera Company pit orchestra, where she spent 3 summers working with Broadway conductors and performing a new musical every week for 10 weeks.
During the past year and a half, Julie has been a member of a virtual trombone studio led by Atlanta Symphony trombonists Nathan Zgonc and Brian Hecht, in which she has learned an incredible amount.
Julie is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at the John J. Cali School of Music where she is studying under Jennifer Wharton and Michael Boschen, and will be leading and conducting the Montclair State University Pep Band.
Outside of music, Julie really enjoys riding her bike around Hoboken and spending time with family and friends.
